A Forgetful Old Man — (மறந்துபோகும் மூதாட்டன்)
A soft emotional tale — சிறு நெகிழ்ச்சியூட்டும், மனத்தை நெகிழ வைக்கும் கதை
In a quiet little village lived an old man who forgot things easily — keys, dates, medicines, and sometimes even meals. அவர் சிறிய விஷயங்களை மறந்துவிடுவார் — பூட்டு சாவி, தேதிகள், மருந்து, சில நேரங்களில் உணவும் கூட.
But what surprised everyone was this — he never forgot to buy flowers every evening. ஆனால் வியப்பாக, அவர் ஒரு விஷயத்தையும் மறக்க மாட்டார் — ஒவ்வொரு மாலையும் பூ வாங்குவது.
People teased him gently. “Old habits,” they said. “வயது ஆகுது தான்டா,” என்று நகைச்சுவையாக சொல்லுவார்கள்.
One day his grandson asked softly, “Thatha… why flowers every evening? You forget everything… but this you never forget?”
மருமகன் கேட்டான் — “தாத்தா, எல்லாம் மறந்தாலும், பூ மறக்கமாட்டீர்களே?”
And the truth unfolded / மறைந்திருந்த உண்மை வெளிச்சம்
The old man smiled with soft eyes. “My wife loved flowers. I used to bring them every evening. She is no more… but love doesn't stop just because someone leaves.” “என் மனைவிக்கு பூ பிடிக்கும். தினமுமே வாங்கித் தருவேன். இப்போது அவள் இல்லையென்றாலும், காதல் மறைவது இல்லை.”
He placed the flowers next to her photograph — not as a ritual, but as memory… as devotion. அவர் பூவை புகைப்படம் அருகில் வைத்தார்… வழக்கத்திற்காக அல்ல… காதலுக்காக.
Everyone finally understood — he wasn't losing memory… he was holding on to love. அவர் நினைவுகளை இழந்தவர் இல்லை — காதலை தாங்கியவர்.
A tiny lesson from a gentle life / ஒரு இனிய பாடம்
- Some people forget dates — but never forget love. சிலர் தேதிகளை மறந்தாலும், காதலை மறக்க மாட்டார்கள்.
- Memories fade — but feelings remain. நினைவுகள் மங்கினாலும், உணர்வுகள் இருக்கும்.
- Love doesn't need a reason — it needs remembrance. காதல் காரணம் வேண்டாம்… மனம் போதும்.
